At least three people were killed and 13 others wounded since Monday in shootings across the city, authorities said.

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in the  South Chicago neighborhood Monday evening, police said. The man was in the 8300 block of South Kingston Avenue about 7:40 p.m. when he was shot in his neck and chest, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was later pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m., authorities said. He was identified as Bobby Moore, of the 7300 block of South Oglesby Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

News Affairs did not release information regarding the circumstances of the shooting.

A Rogers Park man was fatally shot about 5:35 p.m. in the 800 block of East 87th Street in East Chatham, said police spokesman Officer Amina Greer.

The man was shot in the abdomen and leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition. He was later pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Officials there identified him as Darryl Owens Jr., of the 7300 block of North Damen Avenue.

Earlier, a man was killed in East Garfield Park on the city's West Side. The 22-year-old man was shot about 4:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue, just two blocks from his home.

The man died after he was shot repeatedly in his abdomen, but police could not provide more details surrounding the shooting. The 22-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene at 5 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

He was identified as Owen C. Spears, of the 700 block of North St. Louis Avenue.

The man was walking in the 800 block of North Central Park Avenue about 4:30 a.m. when someone inside a dark-colored vehicle began shooting, said News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic.

The 29-year-old was shot in his lower torso and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Sedevic said.

About 11:20 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot on the Near West Side. He was standing in the 300 block of South Western Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was treated for a graze wound to his forehead.

Earlier, two men were shot in the Albany Park neighborhood on the North Side, police said.

An 18-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in front of a liquor store in the 3600 block of West Lawrence Avenue about 10 p.m. when someone got out of a black SUV and began shooting.

The man was shot in the ribs and chest and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

A 35-year-old man who is an employee at the liquor store was standing inside when he was shot in both legs, police said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where his condition stabilized, police said.

About 9:25 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in Little Village.

The teen was walking with someone on the sidewalk in the 2700 block of South St. Louis Avenue when a gunman got out of a black SUV and opened fire, police said.

The 17-year-old was shot in the lower left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition stabilized.

About 8:40 p.m., a boy was shot in the 100 block of East 120th Street in West Pullman, police said.

The boy, who is thought to be 16, was walking with a friend when two gunmen emerged from a nearby gangway and opened fire. The teen was shot in the right leg and taken to Roseland Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said.

A short time earlier, another boy was shot in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The boy, whose age was not available, was shot about 8 p.m. in the 8500 block of South Exchange Avenue, police said. The boy was shot in his lower back and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital where his condition stabilized, police said.

Further details were not immediately available.

Two shootings happened Monday in the Uptown neighborhood. About 7:20 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in the buttocks in the 1000 block of West Wilson Avenue, said police spokesman Officer Thomas Sweeney. The man was in good condition at Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Earlier Monday in Uptown, a 23-year-old was in critical condition after he was shot in the head.

The man was shot about noon in the 4700 block of North Clarendon Avenue, police said. He was taken to llinois Masonic.

Police believe a second victim from the shooting suffered a graze wound and ended up at Weiss Memorial Hospital. No condition was available.

Although police initially said the 23-year-old man may have been driving when the shooting took place, Ald. James Cappelman said in an email to constituents Monday afternoon that the man had been shot trying to help his cousin, whose car had broken down.

The cousin, a woman who is from out of state, stopped at the BP gas station, 755 W. Lawrence Ave., late Monday morning because her car wasn't working, according to Cappelman's email. The woman called her cousin and her boyfriend, but after they arrived at the gas station, about 12:15 p.m., another man appeared at the gas station, pulled out a gun, and shot the woman's cousin and her boyfriend, who suffered a graze wound, Cappelman said.

Detectives were reviewing video surveillance.

Separately, a man was shot in the Gresham neighborhood about 6:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 85th Street.

Preliminary reports said a 25-year-old man suffered wounds to the abdomen and buttocks and was taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Police said a gunman exited a vehicle and shot the man several times before fleeing the scene. The shooting is believed to have been gang-related, Sweeney said.

Monday morning, two people were wounded in separate shootings on the South Side.

One shooting happened about 10:25 a.m. in the 9600 block of South Avenue M in the East Side neighborhood, police said.

According to preliminary reports, a gunman jumped out of a blue SUV and started firing at a 22-year-old man, wounding him in the buttocks. The victim was taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Less than an hour earlier, a 22-year-old woman was wounded in the South Shore neighborhood. The woman was standing in the 7600 block of South Coles Avenue when she was shot about 9:40 a.m., said Officer Ana Pacheco, a police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.

The woman was hit in the left leg and taken to Trinity Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.
