A South Shore man has been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was fatally shot last week, officials said.

Dahvie Holmes, 20, is facing one count of first degree murder after police said he is one of two men responisble for killing 16-year-old Camerion Blair.

About 5:45 p.m. on September 30, Blair was standing in the 2600 block of E. 73rd St. when Holmes and another man approached him and opened fire, striking Blair repeatedly, police said.

Blair, who lived on the block where he was shot, was taken to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Holmes, of the 7600 block of S. South Shore Dr., is expected to appear in bond court Wednesday afternoon, police said.
