Ero Seagull New Single “The Gospel”

A disorienting haze of static and percussion will slowly, but surely, rise from the corners of your speakers. They will trample through distortion before finally being overpowered by an enormous 808. Before the drum beat can get too carried away, a feisty female vocal bursts into the mix; and after a few rhymes you’re officially intertwined in “The Gospel”, by Ero Seagull. “Kicking up dust, descending from Heaven!” the Greek-Canadian artist raps over the sparse, electronic track. “I used to be an angel, now I work until eleven!” Her flow has a quirky edge to it, ultimately complimenting her abstract lyricism. With the myriad, religious references of “The Gospel” it is a track with a depth that requires multiple listens past the first. Only then can Ero Seagull’s artistry be fully appreciated. For, beyond the whirling, electronic synths, 808s, and rapid-fire electro-drums, there is a creative who has a lot to say; and every word will amaze.
