K-6 was born Sulayman Saul Sarr in Banjul The Gambia. K-6 a singer, song writer who was introduced to making music when he was a teen by a distant relative from Senegal ( Ebrima Sow known as DJ Doff) who was actually living with K6 and his parents. K6 and DJ Doff recorded their first single called Dayca Bi Nyor Kor Morm (we are the leaders of tomorrow) at the Bull Duff Studios coached by the late MJ, Starcy and Tiju Brain basically the former pepper house crew. K6 and DJ Doff's single became a sensation in the Gambia then K6 and DJ Doff decided to form a group called Keur Gui with additional members Mansally Cham (West) and Isatou Jallow (Satu). The group did multiple songs together and fell apart due to members travelling and K6 still attending school, by then music has grown into K6 heart but was doing anything to showcase his talent until early 2007 when he migrated to the United States at this time K6 was filled with the love of music and unrealistically good melodies but only time will tell, due to responsibilities that awaits him and becoming a proud father of his kids. Then one day after listening to beats for X amount of years without recording he met a producer by the name Lam Sem part owner of S.E.M records and a dJ at 97.9 fm in Utah he decided to booked a studio time just for fun remembering old days then Lam sat him down and told him you really need to do this full time at this point in time it was all for fun for K-6 and not knowing he was actually unleashing a great musician by default who is versatile in all aspects of music, K6 recorded few songs with Lam like jealousy, Tap out and etc.
