Doppio's Playa Parlay is an another track branded under his genre "Underground R&B"

Over the old school instrumental of Alfonzo Hunter "Just the way", Doppio brings a new cool, calm, collected flow combined with a smooth hook to match his punchlines about luxury living, performance cars and pretty women. Underground R&B is a form of expression coined by Doppio that can be defined as going against the guidelines and restrictions to what is considered modern day R&B. It might not fit the ideal picture for an R&B song however it still is expressed as rhythm and blues.

Doppio could be most compared to an artist such as Larry June or Max B when hearing the similar subject matters and melodies. However rap music is not his main inspiration. The true main influence behind "underground r&b" is the late 90s and early 2000s r&b/rap duet crossovers that artists such as Mariah Carey , Jon B and Lloyd were known for.
