Ricci Payne’s new Single “Appreciate” is buzzing!

It is not everyday that an artist emerges from the underground and begins to make their way into the mainstream. As summer rolls on I continually am hearing one artists name come across my table. He goes by the name Ricci Payne, and is based in Montreal, Canada. If you know anything about me you know that I am often hesitate to hear new artists due to the amount of submissions and music I listen through everyday, but many different people have been messaging me to give this guy a listen. When I did, I instantly knew this artists is going to be a star.

Ricci Payne’s new song “Appreciate” produced by Dre Minor under the label Media Maizon is a summer time hit. With slow initial vibes it quickly picks up into a melodic masterpiece, taking the listener on a journey through the mind of the Canadian star. Lyrically this track stands out amongst all other music I’ve heard this month. Ricci Paynes word choice and tonal flows weave through the ethereal beat very smoothly. As he describes his deepest and most heartfelt emotions.

When the drum line hits mid way through the track, the listener is instantly re engaged in his story telling. As modern rap music has shifted over the years, it is refreshing to hear a modest take on a classic sound. Ricci Payne has his own genre, it is not easily pin pointed, and you’ll have to listen to it for yourself to see what I mean!
