An LED lamp is a lamp which uses LED as its light source. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. The light produced by a single diode is very small. Hence a collection of diodes are used together to get the adequate light. The wavelength of the light emitted by LEDs is small. Hence the light emitted from the LEDs  skyltar led is strongly colored. The lighting for normal purposes requires white light. To convert the colored light that is emitted in to white light, the light from red, green and blue bulbs are mixed.

The other method is to use a phosphor to convert the light in to some other colors. LEDs  skyltar led are used for both ordinary lighting in which white light is used and for special lighting in which colored light is used. If colored light is needed then an LED is used without any filters. When white light is needed some of the colors are removed. Hence colored bulbs are more energy efficient because they do not Waste energy by filtering out the unwanted contents.

It is claimed that they are better than ordinary fluorescent bulbs. LEDs  skyltar led contain no mercury, unlike a CFL or Compact Fluorescent Lamp. LEDs can be turned on very quickly. Even if they are repeatedly turned on and off repeatedly the life time of an LED remains unaffected.
