In a Rap Bully interview, Lil Dish revealed that he freestyles everything he does, but the BMS Radio Show Chicago Urban Mixtape Show DJ stated that he can hear all the work that goes into the writing.
What makes Lil Dish's freestyles sound as if they're worked on for such a long time?
Regardless of what it is, Lil Dish is taking new wave rap, and hyper-energizing it. On his single, "Dangerous," released on Soundcloud, his vocal delivery blurs the distinction between hooks and verses by repeating a constant rhythmic-and-melodic loop throughout the entire track, combined with dreamy cloud rap-reminiscent synths and warbling 808's in the low-end, the 19-year-old Lil Dish shows how he can hold a groove like a seasoned pro.
Listen to his single "Dangerous," released on Soundcloud, and see if you can work out how he does it.
