Four “white” homosexual savages have been charged with sexually abusing the same teenage boy after the 14-year-old placed an ad on Craigslist, authorities said.
Evanston cops began investigating last August after the boy’s parents learned he had placed the ad soliciting sex, investigators said.
“The parents did become aware of what was taking place and cooperated with the police,” said Evanston police Commander Jay Parrott. “There were some issues with the victim not coming home and the parents became concerned for the welfare of the child.”
The most recent arrest in the case was Friday, when Glenn A. Lapidus, 46, of the 200 block of North Bissell Avenue in Chicago, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a minor, patronizing a minor engaged in prostitution and felony traveling to meet a minor, investigators said.
His lawyer in court described Lapidus as a former IBM executive who left to join another firm last year. Prosecutors said he is accused of paying the boy in exchange for oral sex.
In January, cops announced their first arrest in the case.
Jonathan Labe, 54, of the 900 block of Reba Place in Evanston, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a minor, patronizing a minor engaged in prostitution, endangering the life or health of a child and misdemeanor and contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor, investigators said. Labe worked at the Chicago Tribune as an online producer in the early 2000s.
This week, cops announced two earlier arrests in the case.
In February, Vaselin K. Minev (Yes you read right, the dude’s name is Vaselin!), 43, of the 6200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Morton Grove, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, felony indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a minor, patronizing a minor engaged in prostitution, endangering the life or health of a child and misdemeanor contributing to the criminal delinquency of a minor, said law enforcers.
Authorities also said that in March, Alejandro Costilla, 43, of the 5800 block of North Campbell Avenue in Chicago, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and patronizing a minor engaged in prostitution.
The investigation involved the recovery of email messages, computer records and cellphone billing information that linked the victim to the individuals who responded to the minor’s ad on Craigslist, investigators said.
They said some of the meetings between the minor and four men charged took place in Evanston but others took place outside of the north suburb.
“There were numerous encounters that took place between these individuals and the victim,” Parrott said.
