Wood Wizzard Gets Fired From HOODX
Last week, in a controversial move, HOODX officially fired Wood Wizzard as king. He was replaced with 400 Block Music DJ Flash McFly.
This news came as no shock to HOODX fans, as president Poemoe had been publicly voicing his discontent over Maco Scott's decision to crown Wood Wizzard king of HOODX. Maco Scott, CEO of Firebox 2300 Marketing was hired by HOODX CEO K-Blao to introduce a new style of marketing to the website. This marketing plan did not sit well with many members of HOODX who were used to seeing documentaries and videos that pertained to knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
HOODX.com is known for producing conscience media designed to uplift the black and conscience community. Firebox 2300 Marketing specializes in marketing hip hop music that is considered "turn up" and "bop" music, which has become very popular in Chicago by artists like Lil Durk, E-Jilla Beats, and Chief Keef. In an attempt to blend these two opposing cultures, HOODX designed the HOODX Crown to "crown" a king of HOODX who would be able to find the balance of both sides of this marketing niche. Maco Scott chose to crown Wood Wizzard as king on his birthday this past January.
However, as the months continued to progress, Wood Wizzard began to distance himself from the website and affiliate himself with 400 Block Music Group. Wood also was a no show for several concerts that HOODX booked for him, including the new tv show "HOODX Backstage".
President Poemoe made this statement; "I respect Wood Wizzard as an artist, but his image is not something that we support at HOODX. The name of his label is 'Druglife Entertainment' and we do not support that image at all at HOODX. HOODX is about knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. I understand that it's the twenty-first century and music is changing, but I work for God. God comes first."
Wood Wizzard declined to comment, but was caught on tape in a verbal authication with Maco Scott and Poe Moe where he stated, "This is my crown," and "I'll be back to come and get it." President Poemoe responded to this by saying, "Smith done jumped in his body."
DJ Flash was crowned the new king of HOODX on their latest broadcast of HX Reality Show Episode 3, which can be watched below. President Poemoe has also publicly voiced his discontent for DJ Flash as well.
